Best e-reader at the best price. September 3, 2010 Amazon Gifter I wanted to give an e-reader as a gift to my wife. I researched every one I could find: Nook, iPad, etc. This thing just does what it does without a lot of hype. Simple, light, user-friendly, long battery life between charges. You can pay more, but if what you want is simple and economical you have to consider the Kindle.
Love the Kindle! September 3, 2010 P. McCourt (Granby, MA United States) I had a 1st generation Kindle and I upgraded to this 2nd Gen. It's much better and still has the Wispernet, which is great. I read so much and I would have to carry those books - but I use the Kindle everyday, and have since they first came out. Even if you think you won't like reading this way - try it.... find someone you know who has one and check it out - because it is way better than you think.
the best thing ever September 3, 2010 Marcelle Edwards (Trinidad) This is the best product ever!!!! still uploading books but have no time to read... they need to sell more time in the day along with the Kindle
Kindle ebook reader September 2, 2010 Dean B I love my Kindle for most of my life I have loved reading and I almost always have a book with me whereever I go,now with the Kindle I can bring along a whole library.
The display is easy to read even in sunlight and I like that you can change the font size and have you ever been reading something only to have to go look up a word you have just read with the included dictionary just point the curser to the word and the definition appears at the bottom of the page.
I could go on and on so lets just say that I love my Kindle
Screen broke after 2 weeks and Amazon is charging a lot of money to fix. September 2, 2010 Noe A. Guerrerohernandez 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I didnt even get to use this at all. Very fragile piece of device. Replacement screens cannot be found for DIY. Amazon is charging a lot of money to replace it. Grrrr. Buy case for it and treat it extra nice or pay the consequence..
